Jared Fogle Pleads Guilty on Charges of Child Pornography and Sex with Minors

Jared Fogle pled guilty to child pornography and sex with minor charges.

Fogle started his own foundation in 2008 with the purpose of helping fight child obesity.  This was inspired by his own obesity when younger. The non-profit made a promise to donate $2 million dollars to schools and organizations working on his cause.  But this has not been true since, according to reports, the foundation has not raised any charity. In fact, from 2009 to 2013, the foundation reported an average expense of $73,000 per year.  According to taxation records, 60 percent of the money was for the executive director’s salary and 26% is simply unaccounted for.

Daniel Borochoff, president of CharityWatch claims, "If Jared was really interested in helping children through his foundation, he could have gotten more money."

Fogle took advantage of his trips and accommodations in fancy hotels to pay minors to have sex with him.  He started receiving child pornography from a friend on March 2011.  At this time, his second wife was pregnant with their first child, a boy.  In 2013, the year the couple had their second child, a girl, Fogle had sex with a 17-year old, according to the prosecutor´s report.

The report indicates that Fogle would try to get very young girls to have sex with him.  It is disturbingly said that to him, “the younger the better.” Found with child pornography that featured kids as young as six years old in sexual positions, Fogle is now facing a sentence of 5 to 12 and a half years.

"He's really just a sick man. He has no remorse. He has no guilt," says Rochelle Herman-Walrond, a woman to which Fogler trusted his interest in child pornography.

Over the course of eight years, this man hid under the image of charity and fundraising.  He is currently wearing a GPS tracking device to monitor his movements.  He will be sentenced in November.
