Meryl Streep: The Wonder Woman of Acting

Mary Louise Streep, famously know as Meryl Streep is an actor from the US. She was born in 1949. She has been a part of theatre acting along with mainstream movies of Hollywood. She is widely respected for her acting skills and has been awarded the prestigious Academy Awards thrice for the movies Kramer vs. Kramer, Sophie’s Choice and The Iron Lady. Besides, she has won twelve nominations for the Academy awards. She is one of those rarest actors who have bagged so many nominations and wins for the Oscars. Her awards list does not end in the Oscars. She is the recipient of prestigious awards like Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Cannes Film Festival, New York Film Critics Circle Awards, BAFTA Awards along with Grammy and Drama Desk Nominations.

Streep started her acting career appearing in the public theatres. She had also acted in Broadway shows. Her first breakthrough in mainstream movies was for Julia in 1977 and she absolutely hated it for the cuts and editing they have done with her role on-screen. Her career graph soared to sky heights as she continued to do remarkable roles in numerous films, series and theatres. She is known for portraying out-of -the-box characters in the movies where she acts.

Streep had always been modest and humble despite being so successful. She has devised her own style when it comes to acting thus following no technique in particular. However, she prepares extensively for her roles, which earns her great reverence.
